Support HS/HSL today!
For more than 200 years the Health Sciences and Human Services Library has provided information expertise, resources, and an environment that advances the University of Maryland, Baltimore's missions of teaching and learning, discovery, and service. From the early printed pages to the creation of new knowledge, the library team partners and collaborates with faculty, staff, and students to ensure their success.
The Library also serves as the regional library headquarters for the Southeastern/Atlantic Region of the National Library of Medicine's National Network of Libraries of Medicine, ensuring access to health information, education, and outreach funding for health care providers, community-based organizations, and librarians. The region encompasses 10 southeastern states, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the District of Columbia and 25% of the U.S. population.
As the HS/HSL, the only publicly funded academic health sciences library in Maryland, begins its journey into its third century, the need for advanced resources, technology-assisted collaborative learning spaces, and access to the world of knowledge and expertise is more critical than ever.
